Sig Sauer P320 Modular Sub-assembly

The Sig Sauer P320 was designed by Sig Sauers, who was the head designer for the Sig Sauer Modular guns. The new pistol is a semi automatic, pistol designed by Sig Sauer, inc. The Sig Sauer P320 is essentially a modularized semi automatic pistol manufactured by Sig Sauer, inc. It is a further evolution of the Sig Sauer P 250, using a striker-fired model in place of a single action only trigger system.

There are three models of the Sig Sauer P320. They are the Sig Sauer P320, Sig Sauer P320s and the Sig Sauer P320r. All three have the same basic design, which has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of law enforcement personnel. The Sig Sauer P320s is equipped with internal triggers, for more reliable firing, but unlike the Sig Sauer P250s and Sig Sauer P320r, the P320s do not have external hammers.

The Sig Sauer P320 has a magazine-fed, striker-fired pistol. It features an extended slide that are open at the front, and a thumb break that permit an easy transfer of the spent casing to the rear of the slide. There are three separate slides, with the top sliding along a rails/stomach lip, the two sides sliding along the rails of the frame, and the bottom sliding against a stamped steel butt plate. The entire unit is covered with a high visibility fiberglass or carbon fiber magazine cover. The buttstock is made from black rubber and features an adjustable cantilever, and it can also be ordered with a serrated or smooth pearl grips.

Despite its relatively small stature, the Sig Sauer P320 features a large number of features including a hammer-drop safety, a skeletonized hammer, a curved clip tip and a one-piece trigger assembly. In addition, the P320's slide is modular and can be replaced with various different types of slides, including bi-xic, tri-x and aero chambers. The bi-xic, or split-case, is made up of three separate panels that can be ejected separately; however, in order to utilize the shooter's capacity to chamber a handgun, it must be converted. Once converted, the bi-xic can then be attached to the front of the Sig Sauer P320, where it functions as a regular, shoulder-fired pistol. The tri-x version of the Sig Sauer P320 has a folding clip magazine that can be inserted into the gun when the slide is locked.

One of the most popular modifications to the Sig Sauer P320, which makes it one of the most customizable pistols in the industry, is the addition of a Sig Sauer P320 modular sub-assembly. The Sig Sauer P320 modular sub-assembly consists of three separate components: the frame, the upper receiver and the lower receiver.
